Help » Marketing » Email Campaigns
The email campaign section is a very powerful feature that enables you to send email campaigns to all your customers or to all your customers that have or haven't bought a product within a date range. You can also attach an SID (tracking number) to a campaign and if a product is bought from within the campaign, the SID number would then get recorded in the invoice.
Create Lead List
This section enables you to build a list of all customers who have or haven't bought x-product within a date range before sending out your campaign
Lead list Name
This is the name of your list for example summer promotion.
Target Customers Who...
This enables you to select if the lead should compromise of customers who have or haven't bought each product you are about to create the lead list from.
Date Range
This enables you to select a date range for your lead list.
Departments/Items
This works in a similar way to when you want to associate products/articles to different sections in your site (see the Shop Builder help section). The lead list you are about to create enables you to create a list of customers who have or haven't bought certain products within a date range. This is where you select the products that your lead list is based on. Firstly select the department from the left which has the products you wish to create the lead list from and then from the right hand column, select the actual products you wish to use and click on the Add Item(s) button. You can repeat this process as many times as you like and add as many products to then create your lead list from.
Create Lead List
Once you have completed the above steps, you would actually create your lead list and write the email campaign. Please note clicking this button does not sent the campaign, it merely lets you write the content for it. Once your campaign has been written, you will then have the option to send it from the main email campaigns tab.
Send Mailout to All Customeres
This feature enables you to bypass the create lead list feature and send out your email campaign to all your customers. However the main page where you write your email campaign is the same format as the create lead list section above.
Subject Line
Enter the subject line for your email campaign.
Tracking Number/ID
This section enables you to enter a tracking number for your campaign so if you add any products to your newsletter and a customer then buys the product(s) in question, the tracking number would then be recorded in the invoice.
Recipient List
This enables you to select the recipient list for your email campaign with how many users are on each list.
HTML/Plain Text Content
This is the main body of your campaign where you would write what your campaign is about. The HTML section enables you to have formatting and images where as the plain text section, is just for a plain text email. However if you are sending our an HTML version, do make sure you also have a plain text copy as not everyone that receives the campaign, would want to or has enabled to receive HTML emails.
